When Rudolf Valencia was found dead in June of 2016, very few living people knew what happened to him. Some say he went to heaven, as most small religious towns would pray, but the truth was much different. He found himself becoming the monster his daughter saw him as. A beast made of nothing but violence. He was made to be a replacement for the great demon Prince, Abaddon. Being granted the name Azriel by the higher demons, Valencia embraced his role. Whether or not he wanted to is up for interpretation, as some researchers say those in that role are often compelled to conform.
After years of being one of the most respected and worshiped demons belonging to his afterlife, Azriel was slain by Harmonia Iris Reeds, before Abaddon was sealed away. This meant a new emergency replacement was needed; and thus Sorath birthed Catherine. Catherine Corundum was born a composite of Azriel and Harmonia's pain, and the experiences of those whom surrounded them. Now, Catherine has become Prince in the event of Abaddon's imprisonment, and is working to make her afterlife comforting for its residents.
